No, we do not provide a student pick-up OR drop-off ride for lessons.
The students will use the school’s 2022 Honda HRV for all Lessons and DPS Road Test, which has
an Instructor Brake Pedal, Instructor Rearview Mirror, and High Risk Teen Auto Insurance
which is all required by the Texas Dept. of Licensing and Regulation.
Yes, you can purchase only one lesson, if that is all you need to supplement Parent Instruction Course,
for the environment that you need, however, prior to a highway 60-65 mph, their skills will be evaluated
on PL, N and C to ensure they are capable of controlling their turns and acceleration.
Stonepoint Driving is a DPS Authorized Testing Facility

**Failure to Show Up for a lesson or for a 5 day Late Cancelation will result in a $40 Fee. We send you multiple reminders and please WRITE DOWN on a calendar the lessons you have scheduled!
THE FIRST PAYMENT is with the REGISTRATION ONLINE FOR LESSON 1.

If we observe that you are not practicing by Lesson 3, you will be dismissed from the school for violating
the contract that Mandates 4 Hours of Practice in between Lessons.

The STATE REQUIRES 30 Hours Parent Home Practice - so 4 to 5 hours practice between lesson is MANDATORY.
YES, We teach in the rain for driving lessons as they have to learn how to drive slower in poor weather conditions. I will contact the student on any lesson in which the weather becomes DANGEROUS, as we will cancel these generally the day of the lesson. So please do not contact me when it rains, I will contact you. Thank you.
Pay-as-You-Go one lesson at a time OR You may Pay-for-All 7 Lessons.
Transfers - YES, we accept all transfers from other driving schools.
Practice after lesson - Four hours of practice after EACH lesson (20 minutes a day) is necessary to build skill and consistency on the maneuvers that the student learned. If unable to practice, then wait to schedule a lesson until the practice is accomplished. Similar to music lessons, students need home practice.

Cancellations - Since you are able to schedule all 7 lessons in advance, a late cancellation within 8 days of the lesson is prohibited and a $40 fee is assessed, so please plan accordingly. If unable to show up for the lesson, please send a text or email. Thank you.
A 10% Insurance Discount Certificate is included with 7 Lessons.

After passing Lesson 7, a completion certificate and 10% insurance discount will be issued. Reminder, they do not get their completion certificate on Lesson 7 simply because it is LESSON 7 - they have to control the car, read and obey the signals, signs, and pavement markings and pass the Practice DPS test. If they do not pass the DPS practice test, they will need an 8th lesson to pass it and receive the completion certificate.
